A good article.

I would add a couple of points here:

Romney got 31% of the votes there. Did he win?

Consider this: he hardly got 2-3 the votes each one of the next 5 candidates got. Each one of those have 1-2% support in any national poll. This kind of "success" means Romney can't count on more than 6% in the primaries. Comparing to his standing in the polls: 9% it is a clear loss.

Now, when You factor in all time and money spent for this "success", the fact that Romney PAID for the tickets, while supporters of most other candidates paid themselves, and the low turnout, You can easily see that his loss is even bigger.

Let me conclude with Mr. Romney's own phrase: "I can't do better than that.", indeed he has no program, no political standing (beside being a Mormon, which does not really constitute one IMO). All he has is money. Money can buy him 6% of the votes, no more than that.

I think, Romney is dead as a candidate.

What's funny is that nobody mention Ron Paul, who got 1/3 of Romney's votes, spending practically nothing. (His supporters did.)
