The Happiness Scam

Submitted by AlekNovi, Dec 2, 2006 10:06

You can just sense the bitterness and pessimism seeping out of this article :)

Give up on self-improvement... all is a sham... your happiness is pre-determined from birth...

Wait wait... STOP... What century is this again? ;)

95% of the self-help industry is a sham, which doesn't mean that "PERSONAL development" is.

It's like at the "fitness industry" with its TV-sold gimmicks and gadgets; fad diets; dopey "supplements"; overhyped excercise equipment... 95% of it is sham...

DOES THAT mean that we should suggest to people that they give up reasonble sound nutrition and excercise "since it's all a shame anyway"?

Don't throw out the baby with the bath-water. As this article does. Seek the 5% instead.
