If "three giants of American industry are hemorrhaging jobs and profits", why on Earth would we pay nearly $10 billion in taxpayer dollars to businesses incapable of obtaining a profit. I want the government to pay me to have a bankrupt company. We live in a capitalistic society - one where profitable businesses survive . . .
