Andrew, can you not see that when data (or stories as told by Beauchamp) are proven to be false, that it undermines credibility. Not everybody sees things as you do and its good that people do disagree. But it is only helpful when people present reasonable arguments and attempt to rationally help others (maybe even "deniers") understand your viewpoint.
This change in data is very important. The fact that Mcintyre had difficulty getting information from NASA is important. The fact that he has demonstrated huge flaws (all but disproving) in the hockey stick theory is important. You mention environment, I agree that stopping pollution is important - air toxics. But CO2 is still a "not sure" for me. What I will do is try to live in ways that are as sustainable as possible and create as little waster (air, water and solid) as possible.
Furtherm the fact that Beauchamp lied (he wouldn't be just wanting 15 minutes of fame or advance a political belief) is important. The fact that TNR is looking the other way when facts are presented is important. War sucks, everyone knows that, sometimes it needs to be done when an enemy doesn't see things your way.
So whose head perhaps needs to be removed from his personal anatomy to a place where there is more light and much fresher air? I would seriously and gladly listen to your arguments if you presented one.
