reading the harrowing article and the harrowing comment by Maria confirms me in my opinion that war unleashes the dark side of human nature. War atrocities seem to become the norm in war-torn societes where death and destruction are an everyday occurence. human life becomes a cheap and negotiable commodity. That does not reduce the horifics of it though. Is this then refelcted in such problems among soldiers taking their own lives. The irony of it. If the enemy without does not get you with his bullet then the enemy within will. Pauline
