Though the New York Post and Wall Street Journal may have taken different editorial page positions on some issues, there is no need for Mudoch to reconcile them. Different papers have different audiences. It makes as much publishing sense to have the same editorial page slant for these two properties as it does for them to cover the same news events from the same perspective and with the same tone. Otherwise, you might as well just consolidate them into one paper. Surely Murdoch is too good a businessman to let that happen!
