LeeAnn, do you honestly think that every student with extra time has a legitimate learning disability? The 3-4% record is far off - the article mentions that half the line at the SAT stepped aside, Karen pointed out that close to 25% of students receive extra time, far more than the national average merits. We must keep in mind that we are also talking about New York City's private school system. Wealth and connections get you very far here - our children are overdiagnosed and overmedicated, and our quotas are very different from those of the rest of the country.
