Bob Morganthau is more than a Distruct Attorney: he is a sage. For decades his mantra has been if you want to catch big bad guys, follow the big money. As all the big money is off shore, start looking there.

Morganthau was the first to point out that there was more U.S. cash in banks off shore in the Caribbean than in all the banks of New York, New Jersey and Conneticut, the so called tri-border region. Now he tells us south america is in on the action. His genius wasearly on he recognized that although the Carrabean is the laundomat for american money , the laundry tickets are kept in New York. Get the laundry ticket and you'll know who owns the shirt.

Morhanthau gets the information he needs about banking because his office is trusted. As the US Attorney General's ofiice is not, all responsible agencies turn to his office for help following the money. For that alone, we're lucky to have him. But time and again over thirty years his office has shined in any number of areas. I guess some things just get better with age with age
