Hospitals Collaborate To Change Methods To Prevent Infections

Submitted by John Scherer, Aug 21, 2007 09:56

I have been following the progress on Ms. McCaughey's project from articles in the Sun, WSJ and NYT which an old college friend has forwarded to me in "old Europe".

I must compliment Ms. McCaughey on her achievements resulting from her extensive and objective analysis, her preserverance, and her ability to sell and convince the media and well-known and reputable hospitals on her findings and recommendations, and the steps that many have already taken to implemnt them.

Not only will it save many lives but there is also a payoff. I hope particulkarly the latter will convince also hospitals in other countries to react similarly, or if they have already better methods, to improve them.

Sincerely,

John Scherer
