He'll be back. The NFL will buckle eventually. However, the days of wine and roses are OVER!

As an Atlantan, the truth is, Mike Vick never was as good as the hype. He was a fine runner. But his quarterbacking skills were not sufficient to lead ANY team to the Super Bowl. In fact, his talent declined almost every year he buckled his helmet.

What has been under-reported here is that HE is responsible for ALL of this. He has been an ill-disciplined punk from the time he arrived in town and it finally caught up with him. Why a multi-millionaire would risk it all in some thuggish, ghetto enterprise is beyond me. And it is not just because he is poorly educated. He had the advantage of a university education at a good school (Va Tech) that most will never get. It boils down to the fact that he is a monstrously arrogant jackass who thinks he can get away with any infraction because of who he is.

Let this be a lesson to all in Mike Vick's situation. You are not above the law and you depend totally on the approval of the general public to continue your incredible ride. It is possible to screw it up permanently and in ways your thug friends will never foresee.
