After all the horrific stories I heard in the past and some of which I had seen first hand, my only reason for sending my child to 109 was because of Mr. Blake. Maybe Chancellor Klein should have an undercover investigative team or a single individual to really know some of the kids' behavior. This is an absolute untruth. What about the parents of that 13 year-old? shouldn't they be held accountable for their child's behavior? Can any child get on a PA system and use an "F" word and that behavior be called acceptable? Mr. Blake has turned around IS 109, in my opinion, a 360 degrees circle. He should not be dismissed from his job. He is the only principal that has done any good for the school. Parents who fail to be accountable for their minor children's behavior should not be accountable? Are we sending a message that our kids can have a totally unacceptable behavior without any consequences? Is this why we say the education system in other places are better than ours? Mr. Blake should absolutely NOT be fired.
