I am a bit surprised by this article, quite frankly & here's why. I lived in Las Vegas for 2 years approx. 10 years ago & had the chance to see a pre-season/exhibition hockey game, between MY NY Rangers & the LA Kings. The arena the game was in held about 10,000 people, but yet HALF of the seats were empty!!! Now, granted, it could have been that no one wanted to see those particular teams OR, what a concept, no one in Las Vegas is interested in HOCKEY!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing... I cannot see an "audience", if you will, for either an NBA or an NHL team, very honestly, so maybe these groups who intend to build this arena might put its money where it will go to better use - better roads around the city, cleaning it up a bit, etc., etc. Just a thought!!!!!!!
