Being his colleague as a mainstream journalist and writer from Bangladesh, I perceive sensitively what a horrific pain he's bearing at the moment. Writing outspokenly over a couple of years against the Islamist zealots, and for secularism, I've also received death threats from individual extremists in my Bangladesh. Fortunately, I'm in Sweden now, and extremely fearful of going back to Bangladesh. Islamist fundamentalists have already taken over the country. So, without military campaign by the West these strongly organised evil forces won't be destroyed, and without a superpower's intervention Salauddin... cannot be saved. These "bitches" are creeping cautiously toward their goal of establishing ‘barbaric' Islamic/Koranic rule in the country. Hardline demands are intensifying here day by day.
