Latter-Day Sinners

As an Arkansan with familial and sought after knowledge of the topic I am at once suspicious of Mr. Bennett's rather superficial treatment of the story in executing what becomes clear is his true agenda -- the killing of the messenger. The story originates in Alma, Arkansas where a Mormon was killed and that was later used to incite the murderous rampage where they left their victims naked in the fields to be eaten by prey. Their wagons and personal treasures of course were taken as bounty. The 100 that were murdered were men, women, and children, who they feared were old enough to remember and tell. 17 infants were spared and taken to Mormon families, some were later reunited with their Arkansas families. This story was hidden and denied by the Mormon Church until as late as 1999. It is a very important part of our history, too bad, Mr. Bennett, you didn't research the topic before you butchered it. I am with eager anticipation going to see the movie as soon as I can.
