Sportsmen's Issues Thrust Into 2008 Race

Submitted by C.W.Beck, Aug 25, 2007 13:22

It is "Great" to see that we have a President that is proposing a program to help control wildlife on public land. There are many hunters that will help defray cost if given the opportunity to hunt on public land.

The wildlife dept, in each state should be given the responsibility to control the numbers needed to reduce over population. Past practice has been to bring in "Shooters" to kill large numbers of big game (Yellowstone several years ago) and claim the problem has been solved. This is "Stupidity" in its highest form. It is a total waste of a natural resource.

Comment: Several people have stated that killing dogs in the Michael Vick case can be equated to hunters killing deer. Question - Did Vick eat the dogs he killed

Comments made by some in this article must be political because I don't believe they are that stupid. Man must control the population of large animals to maintain the health of all wildelife.
