I really think it was a good idea for the DOE to force Dr.Lopez to ressign which stops the problem, but they are not fixing the dameges this woman has already done. I agree with Jacob that it is very difficult to run a charter school of 90 kids, but i know a few great principles that did much more of a good job with schools with hundreds or thousands of students. She was not our mother or legal guardian therefore does not give her the right to get so involved with our personal lives. In my personal opinion this woman was not sane. she was crazy. She did not allow teachers to have supplies for them to properly instruct us. She was phisically and verbaly abusive. This woman manipulated people, gossiped to parents about inaccurate things, she would try to control everything,and she pits parents against each other. This woman was very selfish, neglijent, and just plain dum. When things got out of her control she would hurt others just to save her self. In addition to all of this she just seemed to not care about the students at all it was all about the money and the sponcers for the school to her. I am glad that the DEO noticed this woman had to go. But what took them so long? Are they even intending on fixing the dameges this woman did to not only me but many other students? All i want is help, my record as a student was damaged and for what. I only got 2 credits when i remember passing every test and everything except in math which is my bad subject. She did not offer even summer school to get some of the credits I decerved. But all this woman did to help me was wrongfully expell me and say i have academic and mental problems and should be evaluated and wishing me the best of luck! Yes i was a former student too I a 14 year old kid had to be in the middle of all of this. The only thing i have to benefit from this macabre is that I have become a stronger person and have learned to defend myself from those who are older and have much more power then I do and how to defend my rights. I've also Iearned how to handle situations such as this and to take precautions and the different steps needed.
