Ataturk's Turkey Overturned

Submitted by anonymous, Aug 27, 2007 10:09

Mr. Halkin is absolutely righ: Kemal was indeed of partial jewish descent.

He selected Ankara's as the capital because it was the Hittite Capital Ankuwash. The Capital's symbol was the hittite sun god. This symbol was replaced by two minarets and a mosque by the current AK Party mayor of the city, Melih Gökcek

He mentioned the Torah several times during his opening speech of Türk Tarih Kurumu (The Turkish Institute of History). He said here that the turks were descendants of Noah's grand son. He saw turks as the logical inheritors of the hittites (look at any turk today : Not very asian are they ? Lingustic and genetic affiliation are two different matters!)

He visited Mevlana Rumi's shrine 8 times, because sufism outdates islam and has roots in ancient judaism (just like the kabbalah). In thessaloniki, the sufists (mevlevi's) included jews, christians and muslims in their order - they were "cross-religious" so to say...

He redubbed the name of Sandjak to Hatay - from a muslim name to a Hittite name

In his mauseleum, you will find Hittite Lions on the path to his tomb. As we all know, King David's general Uriah was a hittite.

Ataturk tried with all his strength to de-islamize turks, because he knew what islam had a flipside : Too much were destroying the national identity of the turks. The "ummah" before "millet" as islamists would say!

He tried to change the turkish way of prayers from Arabic to turkish, just like the turkish karaite jewish community in Latvia. They are currently the only turks who pray in their own language (although they also read hebrew text fluently).

Ataturk also welcomed 40 jewish professors from Germany when the Nazi's were making it increasingly difficult for the jews. This happened after Albert Einstein wrote him an apealing letter in the 30's.

I'm sure many turks with a muslim background may find all these things hard to believe, but Mr. Halkin is right on! Ataturk was a turk with a capital T. The current AK Party are turks with a capital A (for Arabs).

Kenize Mourad, in her autobiography, also states that he was of doenmeh origin. She was the last ottoman princess.
