Withdrawal Recalled

This article is sadly indicative of the "if we wish them no harm, they wish us no harm" Hollywood mentality that has usurped the average American's commitment to defending good from evil. Not only have we lost our moral compass, but we wouldn't know how to use if if we found it. There was a time when America was willing to do the difficult thing for as long as it took to accomplish the task. In our current remote control, couch potato existence, we are quick to click to more interesting things when we get bored. With so many citizens who can't even name the Vice-President of the country, how can we expect them to know where Iraq is--let alone what is at risk if we become bored with it? We are so much more interested in whether we have a "metrosexual" leader, than we are in whether we have one that actually has the cajones to keep this country from fading into the laissez-faire swamp that has sucked in the rest of the backboneless world. I fear for our children if we don't wake up.
