Castro's Helper

First of all, South Africa and Cuba on the same plane? What a sick sick statement made for the sake of shock politics. South Africans were subjected to true slavery, torture, and genocide. Castro is not a saint and he has held the country hostage, but to put him on the same plane as DeKlerk and leaders before is like when people use the Holocaust as an analogy. It's disgusting.

Secondly, I can't comprehend how anyone in there right mind can think that that the Bay of Pigs Invasion, and the embargo that we have had on Cuba for 50 years has been a success. Gee, who is still the leader? Who still opresses the people? Who suffers? Everyone involved in the status quo is obviously rooted in some bizarre Cold War game. Either Castro will die first, or everyone that believes in this nonsense will. You guys just keep playing this sick polical game and people suffer. We all know that when we open up our doors to the Cuban people and President Obama goes on the first historic visit(which I predict would happen) that the whole country starts to change within a matter of a year.

Status quo led us to the war in Iraq, and it leads us to continue this disgusting abuse of power. I think you all forgot long ago what our goal with Cuba was.... Peace and prosperity for it's people. I don't remember it being op-ed pieces from NY and Miami while the people that couldn't afford airline and cruise ship tickets are still suffering.

If Senator Obama made any error at all it was that he didn't make even more of stand. But you can only go so far without making a "gaffe" as you like to call them. You don't all need to worry.... you have your candidate and she'll keep the status quo if you succeed.

Ben
