Wright Makes a Push for MVP Consideration With Hot Streak

Great piece -- I especially liked the part about adjustments and counter-adjustments. The guy is such a pleasure to watch hit -- he has the best at bats I've seen from a Met since Edgar Alfonzo circa 1999.

The only remaining improvement to be made in his offensive game is cutting down the Ks a bit. If he can strike out, say, 80 times and not 115 times, that would yield a few more hits and increase his average to truly awesome levels.

As for defense, he's pretty good, but still too inconsistent and error prone to be considered at the top of the league at the position.
