Wright Makes a Push for MVP Consideration With Hot Streak

Your article was exceptional in that it covered all facets of David's improvement but did not emphasize his remarkable ability to take close pitches even with 2 strikes that are just off the plate. This occasionally may get him out on strikes but remarkably he has garnered an inordinate amount of walks, setting himself upas a baserunner for Beltran to drive in, particularly when Carlos takes a couple of pitches allowing him to steal second. Only being caught three times in 31 attempts is great in itself but I think that at least two of those were on pickoffs, not actually in the act of starting to second.
