I think Mitt clearly has the 'best' abortion record of the four leading contenders, from a prolife view. Giuliani is pro-choice; McCain has a good voting record, but his first question to prospective SCOTUS Justices will be 'what do you think of campaign finance reform?'; Fred has the same abortion position now as Mitt does, but was pro-choice in the early 90s, hasn't spoken out against the destruction of embryos for research like Mitt has, and never emphasized the 'personally pro-life' angle as much as Mitt did during his own (admittedly more recent) pro-choice phase.

For you to single Romney out as 'clearly' wobbly on abortion leads me to suspect you're supporting Brownback or Huckabee or some other 3rd tier spoiler.

Demagoguing the immigration issue? He always says he wants to continue immigration, and that it's the best thing since sliced bread! Tancredo and Hunter are the ones who want to reduce overall immigration. If you think it's uncouth to demand that our immigration be legal, then you're very out of step with the conservative mainstream. Losing business support over immigration? Every analysis I've read suggests Romney is only matched in business support by Giuliani.

I like all our leading four candidates, although Romney is my favorite. I'll be genuinely excited to support whomever who wins.
