It is stunning how audacious are the Wahabi lobbies in this country. For them to use the name of American Lebanese poet and painter Khalil Gibran for the purpose of teaching a Jihadist political culture is outrageous. It would be similar to White Racists using an African American author to propagate their racism. Gibran was a resistant against Jihadism. His home town, Besharre, sacrificed thousands of young men and women to resist the onslaught of Baathists, Salafists and Khomeinists. Shame on New York to destroy the legacy of an American Lebanese author after his death.
