Saudi Arabia: The Islamist Cage

Submitted by Xavier Romero-Frias, Aug 29, 2007 22:57

One little-talked about issue is the active destruction of cultures by the Saudis .Much of the Saudi-financed mosques and Islamic schools in "poorer countries" have been naively viewed as "development" aid or as "fostering education by the UN and other agencies that should have known better.

The effect of education in these "schools" has been devastating on unprepared formerly mellowly muslim societies. These societies had ancestral cultures, customs and manners of their own. Their valuable and colourful heritage has been bulldozed by Saudi-financed Islamic indoctrination. This has happened during the last two decades in many non-Arab African and Asian countries, while intellectuals in the West have kept completely silent about this atrocity.
