I recently spent some time with my cousin on a visit. I wrote him this email but do not have the nerve to send it becasue of the social norms. Maybe this wil help:

Have I officially lost my mind? I have been trying to justify why I have this "silly" crush on you. Conclusion: It must be the great feeling of self love that you feel when you met a kindred soul. You see someone like yourself and you are no longer so different. Yes, being different is not such a bad thing, being unique is a quality to be cheerished. However, sometimes you feel so off the norm that it is such a relief to find someone with whom you really see your own reflection in their eyes. Even if it is a cousin. This connection is usually interpretted as love. In deed it is. I think that humans...me...sometimes have a hard time differentiating between caring love and romantic love. You felt the same confusion to an extent as far as I can see. That may have been why it is so hard to understand and shrug off. I kept on trying to talk myself out of it without actually lying to myself. I care very much for you. You have intrigued me. You have made me feel more comfortable in my own skin. You have replenished my faith in free thinking humans that still posses a wealth of reason. Maybe I just don't get out enough or talk to enough of the billions that inhabit this planet. Who really has time to. There are few in life that one can actually click with on that seemingly spiritual level. I am glad to have felt that I was not alone. I have met many people and fallen in love with them. Not romantic love but caring and sincere love. It is likely no secret that I seemed to have a crush on you. I am sorry if this made you feel uncomfortable in any way. I try to find qualities in others to love...I just found so many in you.
