Excellent article. The same sort of claptrap that Steyn refers to is constantly spouted here amongst my academic colleagues. After listening to this mob prattle on with such idiocy about world affairs for six years since 9/11, I have had to conclude that they are actually insane.

On this theme of Vietnam, I also recently enjoyed reading:
