The author simply is speaking nonsense; the modern Muslim democrat Mr. Gul, who did, does and and will respect the secular and democratic system, like the Turks who elected him, will prove this column wrong. Please do not waste your precious time reading columnists like these, who are simply puppet payroll employees paid to write these kind of absurd things; instead read columnists who have spent time or lived in Turkey and understand the country well, like Hugh Pope, etc.
