You and I are from the same place basicly. I hail from Brooklyn born and raised there for 50 years. I had to leave the place of my birth. The same reasons you wrote rats and roaches and high rents to pay for this varmen infested enviorment. I love the place of my birth kings county Hospital to mention it. The rents are cheper elsewhere. I am in South caorlina a 45 minute drive to the Georgia state line Augusta for me cause I am in South caolina. I thought I never would leave brooklyn, but do you think we could have possibly been forced out. Rent control gone, police on top of you at all times, police state tactics in the name of drug war gang related wars. Street vendor oppression new laws and policies from the local police station. When you go before a judge he dimisses their charges and fines. The place is only to visit now. The rich can be there and pay 3000 us dollars a month for 1 bdroom and walls full of roaches. Crack dealers on the corner intimidating nut house cases thrown out of mattawan or the G building. I love NY the city of my birth. The powers that be have no love for the people if they run out of money.
