Surreptitious Snapshots

Submitted by Angry in PA, Aug 31, 2007 17:24

I am in Pennsylvania for business. I am a father of three children who are back home in Arizona. I found out that the King Tut exhibit was at the museum out here. Luckily, I called ahead to ask about their policy. And sure enough, they don't allow photography! This is so absurd. Even flash photograhy doesn't harm these items as much as moving the around the world does. While I can understand not wanting people to take pictures of your copywritten work, it doesn't apply in this case. It is about money and nothing else.

So, instead of buying a ticket, I can buy a book. Big deal. The only reason I really wanted to go was to show my kids the pictures.
