Chavez "popularist measures' are what he, and the Boliaravian Revolution is all about: helping the poor, empowering them, taking democracy to the streets and away from corporate board meetings. Ironically, despite Chavez's condemnation of US imperialism, Bush's invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq have probably helped Chavez - 1 There has not been another CIA inspired Coup in Venezuela, 2 A cut in supply in Iraqi Oil and an increase in the needs for US Invasion forces to stock pile oil has led to a rise in oil demand and price by which Chavez's MVR has been able to build roads, railways, bridges, houses, universities, schools hospitals, clinics etc not only in Venezuela, but elsewhere too.
