Yankees Finally Use Money To Advantage in Draft

Submitted by Gary D. Carroll, Sep 3, 2007 20:03

Years ago the yankees had more farm teams. Why not add to there system beginning at the lower "A" levels and then moving on up to "AAA". Lower levels to accomodate young unproven talent, particularly foriegn talent, and higher levels for a place to rehabilitate other organizations cast-offs while not being forced to cast off their own for lack of reoster space. I realize there is a limit to what one can spend. But with a developing farm system as they have now they have little need of high priced free agent talent that is shrinking due to MLB's desire to strip the high spending franchises of their apparent edge. Re-tool now!
