As a California resident I had four chances to vote for Reagan and muffed all four. I was then still a loyal, liberal Democrat, who voted Democrat, literally without thinking. In the past several years I have read many volumes about communism, which as a liberal I considered almost a benign system (communists were for equality and social justice), and learned the truth of what was at stake in the Cold War. Reagan faced the Soviets down, while liberal Democrats called him "a warmonger." Was I wrong! Reagan was one of our greatest presidents.
