There has to come a time when the public en masse speaks to the absurdity of the Vulcans and the EEOC's case against the FDNY. The age old premise that tests discriminate against the blacks has seen its' day. Not in the eyes of the Black organization in the FDNY. What they want is to end any sense of merit system whereby the best preformer makes it to the ranks of the FDNY.

The Vulcans and their misguided leadership want the job handed to their ranks because they do not preform well on tests. Gee tell that to al the lawyers who work hard and earn their clerkships with Supreme Court Justices. What about medical school students who work hard to make the better schools, I would dare say the same for high school students who work hard attempting to make it in the better colleges and universities, but their rightful place is derailed by students who preform at a lower standard but are 'placed' ahead due to hardships.

Why not just get rid of all tests in all phases of education and just say everyone is equally suited for any position. Hard work, why, I can get some malcontent to take on my case and present absurd reasons as to why I am ENTITLED to the position I am seeking. Most learned people realize the fact that if one doesn't work hard for something ,then they are not ENTITLED to what it is they search for. Such simple plain logic, for most.

Lack of education and poor test taking abilities is not a valid reason to give anyone anything. Education accessability is open to allwilling to take advantage. The Vulcans are still stuick in the 60's mentality that we are due our day. I wasn't raised with a silver spoon, I worked hard to get where I am, something the Vulcan leadership isn't willing to have it's membership do!
