Lafayette Is Not Here

Never trust the French. They are America's oldest enemy. Help in our Revolutionary War was because "the enemy of my enemy (UK) is my friend" Lafayette came to America against the express orders of Louis XIV. He was arrested accordingly when he returned for his insubordination.

At the Versailles peace conference the arrogant French mocked Wilson's 14 points and imposed a harsh "victor's peace" on Germany giving rise to Hitler and WW2 as Wilson predicted would happen. In WW2 they collaborated with the Nazis and fired on Allies during the North African campaign. During 2003 Gulf war 60% of French polled wanted Saddam to win. Their socialist elites hateed America, but loved the Soviets.

Sarkozy wants to go kissy-kissy, but he's a flash-in-the-pan anomaly. The French public and ruling elites, including the media, are Marxist/socialist haters of capitalism. They have never been a sincere or true friend of America, her revolution, or her ideals. But it should be said Lafayette in contrast was a true and loyal friend of the American cause although as the article says even he had ulterior motives.
