i recently had a free consoltation with an attorney this attorney informed me that new york stat recognizes another states common law now after being with my common law husband for seventeen years we originally met in vegas my husband was ran over by a vehicle and was killed but because we were common law my husband's remains went to his mom because of the common law my husband is now sitting at his mom's house in an urn with the wrong birth date on it the attorney that i went to see said that yes new york state recognizes another state's common law I NEED TO FIND THE STATUE NUMBER FOR THIS LAW SO I CAM FINALLY BRING MY HUSBAND HOME can anyone help me with this i am hoping for replies thank you
