Sometimes TV offers little more than the opportunity for a wordsmith like Mr. Bernhard to loose his pen and enthral us with his word wizardry. It is much more entertaining and rewarding to have a good read and enjoy what another human being can do with the English vocabularly that is out there for all of us to trot around the block than to spend an hour or so watching x number of vapid couples lives fall apart. Imagine where Western Civilization would be if Henry Fielding wrote Tom Jones as a film script! The Bagel Boys in Hollywood would have made mince-meat out of it and we would have been all the poorer for it. Television is probably why Barnes & Noble is doing so well. Thank you Mr. Bernhard for another reason to buy The Sun.
