Thank you for this column. I saw the second plane hit on television at the moment it happened. I visited New York later and saw Ground Zero. I will never forget 9/11 -- EVER. My condolences to the City of New York and my complete admiration for the way it was handled afterwards and for the magnificence of the New Yorkers and others.

I am in Texas, far removed in miles, but bound in humanity. As a nation, we may never be truly safe again, but, in my opinion, vigilance is our only safeguard. Thank you again for the reminder for those may have forgotten the great tragedy of that day.
