As of this time, I believe she is the Democrat's best hope. I think there are better ideas that the Dems can capitalize on than she is putting out there. The benefits of alternative energy vs. the drawbacks of fgn oil being one. Not in a radical Al Gore way, however, just hit a few more singles and doubles with the ideas and not try for the fervent home run. Uberstrong messages can turn more off than on. Passion is good, but over the top possibly gets you Howard Dean screams. If she can play moderate and avoid Kerry-esque sarcasm, she has a great chance of her party's nomination. As far as the last election goes, I believe it was more the Republicans losing than the Democrats winning. The Republican solutions were lacking in luster or just not put out there properly. I myself am not supporting Hillary for various political reasons. I am not "afraid of a little girl" (ref. previous comment)... I just believe there is so much image building and tweaking going on that she herself is not sure of who she really is. As of now it appears that she can sit back, not do anything rash, and get nominated. The Republicans need a good, strong candidate to do battle with. The ideas have to be sharp and well presented. Hopefully the next presidential election will be decided on real solutions vs. raw criticism of policy.
Off topic - Good Heavens ... the number of good John Batchelor shows the public will not be hearing is troubling... The carrier Intrepid is moved, plans for a Moon base by 2020, Polonium-based intrigue, Bolton giving up the ghost, the falling dollar? Which mountain must be moved to get you back on the air? ...I'll get my shovel.
