It blows my mind that some sports "journalists" STILL write this stuff. Ask any of the defensive players of the Eagles and anyone else who plays against Favre and they will tell you a good or great QB is only as good or great as the talent around him. Does anyone REALLY think that todays best: Manning or Brady or Palmer would have had more success if they played on the Green Bay teams of the last few years? Favre is not getting any younger, but he's not as antiquated or dead as some of you would have him be. He still throws very hard, moves well and has a desire for the game that few can match. Aside from Reggie White, can anyone name ONE player on offense or defense that played with Favre that will go into the Hall Of Fame? Favre is an exceptional athlete that doesn't play inside a dome; that doesn't have (never has had) HOF receivers and yet has put up numbers that are staggerring. Oh, and his durablity is unmatched. As many have said: "Bart Starr was a part of the Green Bay offense, Brett Favre IS the offense."
When these young receivers start to get insync with him, watch the fireworks!
Peace,
R
