An End-Run Around Term Limits Is Eyed

I voted for term limits, it has helped expose corruption and campaign finance laundering schemes, but it did not end the web of nepotism. Circumventing term limits first happened when the sons and daughters of former council members won their fathers and mothers' seats. Old council members re-running, is a second offense against those that favor term limits. Non-Partisan elections and stronger term limit legislation might bring us the qualified candidates we need in City Council offices.
