Downtown Brooklyn Is Booming

Submitted by Sabastian, Sep 11, 2007 15:40

Is there really going to be affordable housing for people who make a modest income more like $70,000 and under. The rents are scandolous and space is small. I mean come on the people who lived in Brooklyn for years added to it's diversity and character and pay the high rents because they wanted to stay in Brooklyn. There is no where else to go except for out of state that is another expense is to start over. And now invasion of the trust fund kids and the New age yuppies-MTV wanna B's are going to completely turn Brooklyn into the land of Club Med. Don't get me wrong. A little of that is okay to add to the interest but these people go out to our neighboehood bars and party like a 2-live crew party and never tip the bartenders. As a matter of fact, our best bartenders. It's us real community folks who work hard and support our neighborhood businesses. Not you newbies who portray this somewhat all ready over grunge image and talk about your stupid indie films and dumb books. Learn the truth about American History that's what you should be discussing so that we can all turn the same page. That is what keeps a communiy strong. Unity not your money.
