I couldn't agree with Paul Gardner more. This is one of the most accurate assessments of MLS I have ever read (and I've been following the league since before it's inception). The only thing missing is a sentence about Argentine Guillermo Barros Schelotto, who leads Columbus in goals and assists despite being signed a month after the season started.

2007 is the first year since my local KC Wizards won the MLS Cup that league has truly been interesting- and the reason is precisely because Angel, Blanco, Barros Schelotto, and Luciano Emilio have brought their Latin flavor to this league. What did Beckham bring besides disappointment???

Is someone from MLS headquarters reading this????????? Please!
