Clinton Spars With Petraeus on Credibility

Submitted by Shay R., Sep 14, 2007 16:34

As the sister to two army soldiers, one of whom has served two tours in Iraq, the most recent of which under the command of Gen. Petraeus, and has told us of all the good that he has seen done, I find Sen. Clinton's response to Gen. Petraeus's report of success in Iraq shameful, dispicable, and, most unfortunately, completely predictable. That she should choose to smear the integrity of a man she had only 8 months prior exalted at the right man for leading our soldiers defending us abroad, and now turn right around and call him a liar to his face is not only a slap in his face, but a slap in each of my brother's face, in each of my serving cousins' face, in my face. She ought to be thoroughly ashamed of herself. But I suposed for someone so diametrically leftist, it is merely par for the course. Cold as it may sound, I do hope that someone, anyone with an opportunity, will make her eat her words.
