Sen. Thompson is a decent fellow, a good actor, a new dad who wants to raise his "young uns" I heard him say before the conservatives got hold of him. He talks the talk but look back at his chairmanship of the Chinese illegal money committee where John Glenn made a fool out of him. He will not walk the walk. He doesn't have the strength.

Sorry, but Thompson is no leader. The conservatives are trying to fill an empty suit with whatever they think he will do. He cannot...he does not have the energy or the will. I watched one speech and that was all that was needed. If you think that the current Pres. is a bad communicator, wait till you see what would happen if they nominate Thompson.

I fear for my children and grandchildren at this time in History. I want a leader. Mayor Rudy Guiliani is a leader. I may not agree with all of his beliefs, but I trust him to do what is right for this country. I cannot say that about anybody else that is running to be the Pres. of this country from either side of the aisle.

I am a New Yorker who lived through Dinkins reign and watched Mayor Guiliani put the city back together again. He is the only hope this country has and all I can do is pray that the liberals in New York City remember how safe he made it and how he helped tourists come back to a city that was called "ungovernable".

No matter what the others say about illegal immigration, abortion, welfare etc.only a leader can get some things done. I have heard that Pres. Johnson twisted arms to get his way. I trust that if Mayor Guiliani will win, we will be better off than for a socialist to win the next election.

This coming election will determine whether we stay a capitalist society or a socialist country, lose our great medical care or go downhill as a third world country. Take a look at the history books in your children's schools and see what liberals think of our history.

Don't look whether there is a D or an R after the person's name, but what that person has done and can do. Sen. Hillary Clinton can only claim to be the First Lady who is beholden to a socialist organization and must do as she is told. No leader there.
