‘Google Doodle' Sparks Ire Of Jewish Community

I am very proud of my country for it's support of Israel. President Truman's decision, followed by successive US Presidents is a decent and courageous counterpoint to the Holocaust and to centuries of abuse. President Truman was actually following the precedent of George Washington who first noted the need to not merely tolerate Judaism, but to respect it.

My reading of this article's representation of Mr. Dahl's comments concerning the 1983 indicates that they are fair commentary, at least on the surface. While Israel has lived its entire life in grave peril, some unwisely believe that no Israeli action can be criticized on any grounds whatsoever. We have already lost Mr. Rabin to this pathetic attitude, must we lose the soul of Israel and Western culture to this narrow attitude as well?
