Mrs. Clinton's plan will not work. Nor will Mr. Obama's. To begin, the health care programs, as described, are invasive insofar as they require that every person be part of the system, like it or not. And the government will snoop, you can bet on it. But the real issue is that when the Federal government gets involved in something - anything - it is disastrous. It has proven it cannot manage anything. You name the department; it's a bloated, stumbling mess.

A friend suggested I take a look at Ron Paul, whom I considered a nut job. I took a look at his idea to get the Federal government out of the health care business and (maybe) leave it to the states. This is maybe the first sensible position I have yet seen; a position which Mitt Romney has shamelessly taken as his own. I have been an Obama supporter, but Ron Paul is looking better to me.

As well, Obama and Clinton are CFR members, which ought to disqualify them. I had not considered this previously, but I am now. I confess I have not been very savvy about politics, but I am doing some research and reading about the various candidates. The CFR is just no good and most of the candidates are members. (Ron Paul is not, thank goodness).
