‘Don't Not Ask - and Do Tell'
in response to reader comment: Declaration of Principle??

Thank you Lisa. You have shown a clear understanding of the Constitution's intent with regards to the Free Practice and Exemption Clauses having to do with religion. First, I will address Christians, and other peoples whose religious beliefs do not agree with homosexual behavior. Please remember to take the higher road and communicate with others with clarity, respect, and intelligent response. Often we fall into the trap that those who promote the homosexual agenda initiate by insulting our intelligence and personal merit by responding with the same. That is called an "ad hominem" argument, in which they attack the person or group holding a viewpoint, instead of presenting a convincing argument dealing with the topic at hand. In this case, you will be called a "bigot," "hillbilly," "homophobe" etc. in an attempt to intimidate you and make you question the basis of your belief. Remeber, you can still support the distinction that homosexual behavior is not condoned in the Quran, Torah, or Bible accurately and not be phobic of homosexuals intrinsicly. You can support a moral view of homosexuality as sin just as legitimately as we do adultery (which may I remind all is a sin committed between two CONSENTING, ADULTS; which is not a justification as many proponents of homosexual behavior like to bring up in defense of homosexuality), pedophilia, beastiality, prostitution, rape, incest or lying, murder, and theft.

Christians, please do not be intimidated. Continue to stand for your right to voice your religious views and make decisions affecting you based on religious conviction. Many of our brothers and sisters around the world face much worse discrimination than what we will experience here, so focus on their struggles to get through. Remember, we are told in Revelation and throughout the New Testament that the dark will get darker and Christians the world over will experience much worse govet. sanctioned discrimination before we are justified and Christ returns. Be kind, be loving, be clear, be brave, do not be afraid, and do not be silent.
