The article captures in an accurate summary what was expected at a time when few did, and those that did, hoped that their worst fears were exaggerations and tided over these burning issues to meet near-term interests on grounds more of expediency than of pragmatism--to the suffering of so many in so many places already, and what is infinitely worse, many more to follow in the coming days. It is a fundamental lesson to be borne in mind that imposters come with the mind-sets of bullies--the sooner you call the bluff, better for all concerned. The longer you take to call a clown a clown, (and you can do it most effectively without a single word, with plain simple laughter), the stronger the clown feels he is a prophet, and the longer his following gets. Then, it becomes madness to call him a clown; it becomes necessary to believe in falsehood to merely live; and, when one gets tired of such an abysmal survival, then there are torrents of blood. The biggest tragedy about this is: that it could have all been avoided. The lessons of Munich have been forgotten by our statesmen--again. We have to face these consequences with our blood and peace of mind. But, we shall prevail.
