An Iranian nuclear weapon would embolden the terrorits attacking Israel.

The reason that the attacks against Israel are not massive, such as with the use of chemical or biological weapons, is because of the fear that Israel would then finally retaliate in a decisive manner. Iran having a nuclear weapon would negate the deterrent that Israel now has against its enemies.

Accordingly, the threat from Iran having a nuclear capability is not so much that they would use it against Israel, although that threat is very real, it is that it would unleash large scale devestating terrorist attacks by Iran's proxies and otherwise.
