To The Attorney General Cuomo & Mayors Bloomberg,

I'm so glad that you're suing Merck; I've been waiting and praying that someone with some muscle behind them would get the guts to sue them. You know for the first time in history a sitting President stepped by interfering with States rights in order to protect Merck and put all these suits into Federal Courts. I don't think Merck will make you wait years for 'your trial'! Two Federal Judges where given thousands of cases! An impossible task...especially since Merck is getting away with hearing one case at a time! They have been so arrogant as to brag they will not pay out to anyone and keep appealing the cases they lose!

I'm one of those awaiting trial and Merck is playing there game of hearing one case at a time when they have thousands to hear. Mine was petitioned for a jury trial over a year ago and I have no idea if it will be heard in my lifetime. The fact that this drug took my husband away from me (it will be 3 years Oct 16th) and all I've heard from Merck so far is a letter apologizing "For any INCONVENIECE they may have caused me" has made me so angry that I started sending letters to editors of newspapers, Senators, Congressmen. anyone who might be helpful in getting Merck to give people their day in court! Below I will give you the letter, perhaps you can help all of us awaiting trial. They can't ignore you like they do the rest of us; God bless you for taking them on!

To Whom It May Concern,

This topic must be kept alive in the media...it is my hope that by doing so Merck will get off their arrogant butts and start facing those they killed and injured. I pray others who read it that have suits with Merck will contact me; there is strength in numbers.

I need your help; please print my letter.

I'm one of the people awaiting trial with the Honorable Judge Carol E. Higbee. Because of Merck, I'm a widow! They don't want cases like mine to be heard, believe me there is no way they will find for Merck in the death of my husband. To add insult to great pain, I receive a letter from Merck apologizing for any inconvenience they might have caused me. That was the first time I realized how arrogant they are; they consider my husband's death and suffering an inconvenience! Now they are adding more insult by ignoring us!

I think it's time anyone with any judicial power to start pushing Merck to stop their games of hearing one case at a time! I was taught that in this country a person has a right to their day in court...how does Merck control the Supreme Court of New Jersey? All I and others want is our day in court; that is not asking too much. If they have nothing to hide Merck will grant it. By hearing one case at a time, most of us will be dead; that is exactly what Merck wants!

I watched a vital man suffer and die like no human being should have to die! He suffered a massive stroke, than a blood clot that went to his lungs causing a pulmonary embolism, had fevers over 106 because the part of his brain that controlled his body temperature was destroyed. The last ten days of his life he had continuous seizures...all because he took the poison thier drug for his arthritis. I want them to look me in the face and tell me they're not the reason I'm a widow, my son doesn't have a dad, my grandson has no grandpa! If they are so innocent, let the people have their day in court.It's not Constitutional to be treated this way....did my husband die for nothing? Even if I lose, I must fight for his sake! I have a right to be heard. so do the other thousands waiting while Merck continues to ignore us. We are not statistics;we are flesh and blood; we deserve our day in Court By publishing this letter I hope other feel free to join me in getting Merck to start hearing their cases. They have blood on their hands but only profit on their minds...at any cost!
